Evidence-based Physiotherapy in Glyde SA and Howrah TAS
Back on Track Physiotherapy brings the same trusted, hands-on care that South Australian patients have relied on since 2019 — now available to the Hobart community.
Our Howrah clinic offers the same outstanding quality of care that Glynde patients have trusted since 2019 — now available to the greater Hobart region.
Whether recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or improving performance — our team provides expert, personalised physiotherapy in a modern, welcoming environment.
Our Howrah clinic is led by Lesley Tompson — founder of Back on Track Physiotherapy — bringing over 30 years of experience to Tasmania.
Lesley graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 1995, and has undergone further study with the McKenzie Institute while working in the USA.
With over 30 years of manual experience both within Australia and the United States, Lesley is confident providing all aspects of physiotherapy care.
Her particular strengths are found in orthopaedics due to her strong manual skills, which she utilises in conjuction with stabilising/strengthening programs.
Lesley has experience in many other areas of physiotherapy, including inpatient rehab, spinal cord and amputee rehab, aged care and home care.
Lesley is a keen sportswoman, actively playing field hockey as a striker and a Goal Keeper for the University of Tasmania Hockey Club. She also maintains a continued interest in professional and amateur athletics, having previously travelled as the physio/masseuse for the Athletics SA national team.
We’re expanding in Tasmania and looking for dedicated physiotherapists who share our patient-first approach. Contact Lesley to find out more.

Your first appointment is all about understanding you — your condition, your history, and your goals. We take our time to get it right.
1. Thorough History Taking
At your first appointment your physio will ask you many questions and gather a lot of information about your condition. It is important that you let your physio guide you through this process, and you can rest assured that they will collect all the information necessary to make a thorough and complete diagnosis of your condition.
2. Hands-on Assessment
Physical measurements, movement tests, and palpation of affected areas form the objective part of the evaluation.
3. Your Personal Treatment Plan
Your physiotherapist will then be able to explain your condition using terms that you will understand, and the best plan of treatment.
With your consent, they will go ahead and begin treatment.
Full-range physiotherapy for the Howrah and greater Hobart community — all ages, all conditions.
